Front Porch Party

Marilyn and Shawn at 134 South Taylor have teamed up with Mike and Kim down the block to host a:

NeighborNet Front Porch Party

These parties are a very laid back way to hang out with neighbors, meet some new folks, and just stay connected. Just come by and say hi.

This is close on the heels of the School's Out block party, so let's keep the momentum going and get some other blocks volunteering to host a front porch bash as well! Super simple to do and good for the neighborhood!

From Officer Primak

Greetings,

The Oak Park Police Department will be hosting a community discussion on public safety in Oak Park on Tuesday, May 18th, 2010, 7 – 9 p.m. at Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School 325 S. Kenilworth. I have attached a flyer with additional information on this event. Please feel free to forward / print out to your neighbors, friends and relatives. Please come out and join us. You do not need to R.S.V.P. but if you have the opportunity to let me know you are coming that would be great.

FYI-Because of this event my regularly scheduled zone 4 community policing meeting that was to be held on Wednesday May 12th will be cancelled. Please come out and join us at the community discussion.

New Neighbors

If you noticed some different cars in the driveway at 134 South Taylor, it's because we've got new neighbors!

Marilyn and Shawn Nolan moved in during December, just in time to shovel the driveway. You may see them out walking Kaylee their mixed breed dog (she's a whipperman). Be sure to welcome them to the neighborhood.
