From Officer Primak - Zone 4 Newsletter

Greetings,

Happy New Year to all of my zone 4 residents and businesses. I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season. I would like to thank everyone for their continued support of the Oak Park Police Department. The citizens and the police department need to work together to keep our streets safe. If you see any suspicious activity please contact the police department immediately, by calling 9-1-1 in an emergency or 708-386-2131 in a non-emergency. Never worry about inconveniencing an officer; we would rather stop a crime than try to solve it after the fact.

Historic Preservation Plan - Meeting Tuesday

The Oak Park Historic Preservation Commission continues its community-wide effort to create a 10-year Strategic Historic Preservation Plan to help guide efforts to identify and protect important historic resources throughout the Village of Oak Park. The new plan will replace the 1994 long-range plan. The second community workshop has been scheduled for Tuesday, January 12, 7:00 p.m. at Hatch School, 1000 N. Ridgeland. Click here for more information and to view the public meeting schedule.

The January meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Village Hall.

My Mess

Hi Everyone,

So sorry for the construction mess in front of my home. I am finally having the front stairs replaced. A warm fall and good salesmanship convinced me that Dec. 4th was not too late. I certainly thought it would be finished by now. Oh well, best laid plans and all...

I also had some interior painting done and ceilings replaced for reasonable prices. Call if you need a referral.

You are just never quite finished when you own a home, are you?
